Pick at random or use the hot and cold numbers from recent draws.
Number generator
Lucky Dip, hot or cold numbers
These numbers are just for fun: every combination has the same chance of winning, and no one can predict the draw.
How it works
- 1Hot and cold picks are based on up to 200 recent draws
- 2Three ways to pick: Lucky Dip, hot numbers or cold numbers
- 3Balanced mix of odd and even, low and high numbers
- 4Optional filters: no consecutive numbers, spread across groups of 10
- 5Option to skip popular combinations
- 6Lock any number to keep it in place when you pick again
How the number generator picks your numbers
The number generator works from the last 200 EuroMillions draws, going back to 6 December 2024. Under “How to pick”, you choose how to use them. “Hot numbers” gives more weight to the numbers drawn most often, and even more to those from the last ten draws. “Cold numbers” goes for the ones that haven't come up in the longest time. And with “Lucky Dip”, every number has the same chance, just like in the real draw.
Then fine-tune your line: ask for a balanced mix of odd and even and of low and high numbers, spread them across groups of 10, and choose whether to allow consecutive numbers. It picks your two Lucky Stars too, always at random. And if there's a number you like, lock it with the padlock: it stays where it is while the rest are picked again.
To see how many times each number has been drawn, head over to statistics.

Your numbers, ready to play
Every combination has the same chance of winning in every draw, and that includes yours. The number generator doesn't change the odds: it's a quick, fun way to get your numbers, based on past draws or completely at random, without having to think them up.
If you turn on “Avoid popular combinations”, it skips the ones lots of people play: a straight run of consecutive numbers, sets made up only of numbers from 1 to 31 (think birthdays), or only of multiples of 5, 7 or 10. It won't change your odds of winning, but if you do win, you're less likely to have to share the prize with other winners.
Once you've got your numbers, use them on your ticket on The National Lottery website or app or in any National Lottery shop. After the draw, check them with our ticket checker.
